Church Partnerships

OMF International desires to partner with Mission-minded churches…

… to better support missionaries that you know…

… to develop strategic missions plans…

… to help church leaders inform and inspire church members…

…by providing people and resources!

We do this in a way we call the “Three P’s of Partnership”:

Pray

We are called to pray for the world, pray for our cross-cultural workers and pray for peoples! Our founder, J. Hudson Taylor said, “Move men through God by prayer alone.” We want to work with you to make prayer a major part of your global outreach.

Provide

Your church is an essential partner in providing resources and logistical support to those who are working to bring Christ to the peoples of East Asia. Whether through connecting to specific workers and their projects or the crucial homeside work, you and your church can be a lifeline:

  • Field Projects – Field projects which have the goal of enabling and reaching a local people group are very effective ways to share about Christ. These projects need proper funding for success, and your church can be an integral part. OMF International commits to ongoing updates and interaction with the projects leaders as part of your support. Please click here  to see the current Project Listing
  • Field Workers – Many field and home side workers need support including many new workers who are in partnership development. We can match your church with one of these workers who will connect and communicate with your congregation as you partner with that person to fulfill God’s calling in his or her life in reaching East Asia! We have worker profiles we can send you for considering and can give you advice on a worker(s) who would be suited to your interest.
  • General Fund – General fund giving supports essential OMF International ministry to accomplish the work of evangelization in East Asia. Field ministries literally would not function without the support of our general fund!

Participate

OMF International provides support and training for those who feel called by God to serve East Asia. We do this through the following programs:

  • Short-term– Our Serve Asia team can help with training and sending a short-term team from your church to East Asia.
  • Long-term– Our Candidate department would be glad to work with people from your church who are seriously considering long term ministry. Our application process is thorough and a very effective way to confirm God’s calling on their life. We can also arrange for them to talk to some of our experienced workers to learn more.
  • Volunteer – OMF Canada has many volunteer opportunities where you can make a meaningful contribution right where you are. You can volunteer as an advocate, prayer leader, event coordinator or mission mentor in your hometown.
  • Church leaders or members can go on Vision Trips with OMF to observe and learn what God is doing in East Asia and to evaluate ministry opportunities we can do in partnership.
